A lovely vintage West German red clay/pottery art vase or pot, from the 1950s era.
It’s in the Napoli pattern and is model no 272-12 (12cm being the height).
Designed by Franz Schwaderlapp for Sawa Keramik.
The Napoli pattern is random engraved lines with colour infills.
The decor is deliberately scraping, showing the red clay beneath.
Cream base glaze with duck egg and dusky yellow infills.
Hand signed to base ‘272-12 Napoli’.
Handmade/wheel turned pot in a rounded shape.
12cm tall x 12cm widest (9cm outer rim, 5.8cm inner rim).
Natural terracotta inside and to the base.
Very good condition with no chips.
A tiny mark to the rim.
