Description
A matching pair of vintage Whitefriars bud vases designed by Geoffery Baxter in 1961, England.
Ruby red, quality thick glass in a tapering teardrop shape, slightly oval and flattened to the centres.
Cased in clear glass.
They’re featured in the 1964 catalogue, so likely to be 1960s or early 1970s.
Model no 9571.
Flat polished bases and rims.
Being mouth blown and handmade they’re slightly different.
Apx 8″ tall x 7cm wide x 4cm deep max.
Both really great for the age with no visible scratches – see pics.
One has some tiny bubbles within and one has a fleabite to the baseline.
