A funky retro and collectable serving plate: English Ironstone Tableware by Washington Pottery, from the Fish Series set.
“Aquarius” is a series of different brightly coloured stylised fish – this one is the dark green and turquoise blue fish.
Intended as a large fish dinner serving plate. Circa 1970s.
The fish series is like the Beefeater series of plates, but harder to come by.
Apx 28 x 24 x 2.5cm (slightly raised sides).
Squared off oval shape.
Stamped to back with “Aquarius (FISH SERIES), English Ironstone Tableware by Washington Pottery, Staffordshire, England”.
Good used condition with no chips.
Please check photos – it has a few dark age spots to the white ceramic.
