Description
A pretty set of six Arcopal cups and saucers (French Pyrex style).
Milky white opal pressed glasswear, coated in 6 opalescent pale pastel shades with gold gilt trims.
I think the design originated in 1958, so circa 1960s to 1970s vintage.
Made in France.
Mid-sized coffee cups.
Colours are blue white, pale pink, pale peach, pale green, pale blue grey, and yellowy white – please see photos, they’re very subtle shades.
An original complete set – all stamped to the bases with the same logos.
The nature of the Arcopal glassware design means these are durable – suitable for the dishwasher.
Very good condition with no chips or signs of use.
No cutlery marks.
Very good colours, not faded.
Gold gilt trims are very good for the age.
Being pressed glass there may be some manufacturing lines.
Each cup is around 8.5cm diameter (excl handle) x 4.8cm tall…. a mid-size.
Saucers are 12.6cm wide.
Apx 130ml, 5floz, 1/2 cup, or 1/4 pint sized cups.
