Description
A chunky statement sterling silver 925 ring with bark textures and wrap around wings, with centrally cabachon mounted round Caithness Glass millefiori glass upper. The round glass ‘bead’ is deep red with pale blue flowers. The band has bark textured uppers, fading to a plain flat band (8mm to 6mm wide).
I can’t make out many of the hallmarks, but it’s looks to have a lion and lion’s head for 925 sterling silver London, but I can’t see the exact date. Circa early 1970s. I’m guessing the London manufactured silver ring was the official Caithness (Scotland) silver ring maker.
Good condition – a retro statement ring with brutalist and modernist 1970s vibes. The silver is great. The glass has some scratches but they don’t show in real life – they only show on these macro photos.
It’s size O – a standard women’s size.
The upper silver and glass shape is about 2cm x 2cm x 1cm. The pretty round glass is about 13mm wide.
