A vintage studio pottery art vase, by Carn Pottery, Penzance, Cornwall from the 1970s or so…
Carn Pottery was John Beusmans; he used muted matt blue, brown and green washes over a pale neutral-toned clays and is best known for his geometric Cubist or angular pieces.
John was inspired by the Cornish sea and landscapes with primitive Celtic/Runic Studio Pottery designs.
This vase is a smaller curvy vase with cutout circles.

The outers of this vase were probably moulded, then different contrasting decors were hand applied.
One side has a leaf design and the other an abstract flower head.
It has muted pale green earthy toned wash.
A pale fine cream clay sculpture with a glossy glazed inner.
It has a Carn Pottery stamp to the base.
Random holes for individual stems.
A smaller 11cm tall x 7cm wide.
