Description
A super art pottery bowl or dish by David Sharp at Cinque Ports Pottery, Rye, Sussex.
It’s an earlier 1956-1964 piece from before his friend George Cray moved the business to The Monastery and the stamp changed.
Mid century with a fab striped design – deep dusky pink wide hand painted stripes with black fine twisted and triple lines in between.
An asymmetric triangular shape ceramic/pottery bowl with a white base glaze and a pale clay.
6″ x 5″ x 2″.
Good for age and era with no chips.
But it does have fine crazing inside and some fine raised spots inside on close inspection.
