Description
A beautiful studio pottery bird by David and Penny Woodley from Helmsdale Pottery, Scotland.
They established their pottery in 1973 and specialised in handmade stoneware sculptures of birds and animals.
These native birds were done by Penny I believe – she took a lot of care over each one.
This looks to be a partridge.
Hollow stoneware/pottery figure with hand painted/airbrushed feathers and patterns.
Incised HP to the base.
Circa 1980s-1990s vintage.
15 x 9cm tall x 7.5cm.
Very good, beautifully made, please see all pictures.
