A vintage leaping gazelle/antelope figurine…
This hollow cast brass metal figurine is perfect for a mantelpiece where space is limited, being 19cm wide x 16cm tall x just 4.8cm deep. He’s simplified and landing from a jump. He could double up as a book end or Christmas ornament. Unknown vintage, probably 1970s, and unsigned with no maker’s marks. Likely from India.
Very good condition.
Being brass it does have natural ageing, darker spots and manufacturing irregularities from being cast.
Has been polished. The gazelle is shinier than the plinth.
