Description
A lovely large fruit bowl, by Orrefors, Sweden.
Circa mid century 1950s to 1960s.
Swedish art glass, hand signed to the base with ‘Orrefors 4042 / 2’…. I think, it’s heard to read.
Unknown designer, I can’t make out the letter for the designer after the Orrefors signature (see pic).
The glass is clear and bright and is thick and heavy with a crystal content.
Round fruit bowl sized with a solid square foot.
23.5cm wide x 10cm tall and weighs a very heavy solid 2.37kg.
It’s in good vintage condition with no chips.
It does have a few scratches, mostly clustered together inside as shown in the last pic.
Base is a bit rough from use and age.
Overall not bad considering the age/era. Looks good.
