Description
A striking vintage open modernist brooch….
It’s stamped to the reverse with initials I can’t read, along with ‘silver’.
I would assume it’s 925 sterling grade silver and handmade.
Circa 1960s.
It has a dark brick red stone with lighter and darker streaks that looks to be carnelian.
The oval stone is 12mm long, oval, polished and cabochon set.
Two curved arced lines within a round open shape – beautifully simple and stylish.
35mm wide. 9.8 grams.
Very good condition.
Roll over pin to the reverse, works ok.
