Description
A fab mid century 1950/1960s Venetian Glass handmade mini vase or match holder, made on Murano, Venice, Italy.
By AVEM (Arte Vetraria Muranese), part of the Bizantino series (ie tutti-frutti) which was introduced in 1953.
Decorated with silver leaf, white zanfirico lattice filigree, twisted ribbon canes, and copper aventurine.
Multicoloured with an inner casing of red glass, and an outer clear glass casing.
With a scalloped rim in a triangular shape…. lots going on!
6 x 6cm.
Very good with no chips or nibbles, all smooth with no sharp bits.
Frosted base as per other examples.
