A stylish Modernist 1/2 pint tankard designed by Robert Welch, Des. RCA., FSIA, for Old Hall (Sheffield, England).
Circa 1960s/1970s vintage.
High quality and simple tactile item in a satin 18/8 stainless steel.
Made in England by Old Hall, it is stamped on the base with ‘Designed by R. Welch. Old Hall England. 18/8 stainless steel.’
It’s stylish and minimalist – I’m unsure which Old Hall range it was from.
Good condition for age/era – sturdy, clean inside.
Being vintage steel it does have surface marks and scratches from use.
9cm tall.
1/2 pint to the rim, realistically slightly less.
Perfect for a vintage-inspired man-cave or bar!
(Remember, if it’s not stamped ‘R.Welch’ in the logo it’s not designed by him).
