Description

A beautiful Pyrex JAJ (James A Jobling) Gooseberry design round mixing bowl.
The design dates design from 1959, made in England.
Stamped to the base with just the crown logo, dating it to 1959-1960.
It’s the more unusual 1960s earlier design without ‘star flowers’.

I believe it is shape number 444 – which would have been sold collectively with three others as 2174 ‘Opal Mixing Bowl Set’.
It has a wider end and narrower end for pouring.
It’s ‘Spring Yellow’, a summery pale custard colour, with black print.

White Pyrex glass with retro stylised black print of gooseberries.
Roughly 26cm wide diameter excluding handles. 33cm long with handles. 11cm tall.
Holds about 4.5 pints.

Very good example with not much use. Good rim and handles.
Good colour, some smudging to the print from time of production.
One slightly rough corner but a really good displayable and collectable example.
Photos taken from every side.
