Description
A vintage handmade vase or pot or beaker, by Rye Pottery, Sussex.
This is a super atomic influenced starburst decor and is a mid century 1950s to 1960s original.
The stamp dates it from 1957 to 1969.
And the D stamp makes it by David Sharp.
The lighter clay would suggest it’s probably around 1960.
Wheel thrown and glazed, the small vase has an off-white glaze with blue decor, repeated both sides, and a blue dashed rim. There are yellow and green dots and fine black lines too. Stamped to the base.
Very good condition, as manufactured/hand made with natural glazing quirks.

An oval (squashed round) shape with a little foot.
A petite 7cm tall x 9x7cm rim.
Great for a collection, please note it’s small so suited for buttercups, daisies etc if used.
