Description
A lovely grey vintage ceramic table lamp base by Rye Pottery, Sussex.
It has the basestamp within for 1957 to 1969.
Circa 1960s mid century – a whiter clay.
Rye Pottery was John and Wally Cole.
A lovely smooth subtle glazed grey and black.
The fine black lines were sgraffito scratched on.
It’s wheel thrown clay/pottery, handmade, and tapers inwards at the neck, with a flat upper with hole.
Hole to the base for your cord and room inside to fit the lamp fixings.
A brass screw to the top (half unscrewed) but no other fittings included.
The ceramic base a mid sized 16.5cm tall x 9.5cm wide. Ideal as a table lamp.
