A stunning and chunky vintage art glass vase by Strombergshyttan, Sweden.
It’s clear with a hint of green/grey.
Circa 1950s-1960s mid century.
9cm x 9cm with a 2cm wide rim.
Heavy thick rounded glass, handmade in an hexagonal shape.
It has 6 wide faceted sides with 6 thin dividing sides.
Fades down to a rounded shape.
Flat polished thick rim with rounded inner well.
Nicely finished polished pontil, unsigned.
Weighs a very hefty 1kg.
It’s tactile and beautifully formed – handmade and mouth blown.
Very good condition, displays very well.
Very slight water marks inside.
No chips or nibbles or obvious marks.
Unsigned, but with the shape and design and pontil it’s undoubtedly a Stromberg.
