Description
A lovely vintage/retro studio pottery vase.
It’s a red clay pottery vase, thrown on a wheel and handmade.
Rounded bulbous body with narrow slightly flared rim.
Stamped to the bottom – an oval logo with a LJ or JL in, and a further S logo which looks to be in a cat head shape.
I’ve not been able to identify the potter or pottery.
Likely British, 1980s-1990s.
Muted blue grey glazed and glossy.
There’s a sgraffito (white scratched) design to it, scribbled, abstract, it’s actually a camel and a palm tree, but designed to be undecipherable and abstract and arty.
18.5cm tall x 12cm wide, 6cm rim.
Very good with no chips.
A lovely abstract art Studio piece.
