A super stoneware vase by The Friars Aylesford Pottery, Kent.

Circa mid 1950s to mid 1970s vintage.

A handmade heavy vase with striped lower detail and two upper handles.
The glaze is glossy with speckles and tones of greeny mossy grey and beiges and browns – all neutral tones.
Has stripes and speckles or a metallic glaze too.

A good sized 21.5cm tall x 9.5cm rim x 12cm belly. 16cm wide with the two handles.

Good externally with no chips, great for display.
Some crazing internally and a 1″ internal hairline. 

Sturdy and chunky, and being handmade is has natural unique glazing.
