Description
A super little Bob Dawe studio pottery vase, circa 1960s or 1970s vintage, from Red Barn Pottery, Suffolk.
A hand made rolled slab pot/vase (rather than turned on a wheel) – a simple straight cylinder vase made using a flat sheet of clay (it has a lovely exaggerated overlap). The centre has an indented pattern on it – an impressed spotty and striped shape. It has been left mostly unglazed with a reddy brown earthy matt wash. The upper part is glazed speckled cream. No stamp but undoubtedly by Bob Dawe.
Very good condition with no chips, see photos.

A bit of white paint along the baseline.
A petite 11cm tall x 4cm wide – suitable for up to a dozen shorter flower stems if used as a vase.
Being handmade it’s all slightly wonky, and unique.
