A vintage pottery piggy bank by Montrose, Italy.
Model number 2168, hand signed and hand painted.
He’s decorated with a landscape, fields, tree and sky with a couple of buildings to one side.
He has his original sticker.
Money slot with no means of opening – he’s empty so has been kept for display.
Circa 1960s/1970s mid century, retro/kitsch style.
15 x 10 x 9cm max.
Good used condition.
If you look closely there’s a few small flakes of missing glaze, showing the red clay below.
The one on his nose is noticeable.
