A hard to find Portmeirion Pottery ceramic mug by John Cuffley.
It’s to celebrate the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969.
Over a 1960s/1970s Portmeirion shape matt black mug/cup.
Gold stylised print and text on black glaze.
The print reads “Here men from the planet earth first set foot upon the moon. July 1969 AD. Apollo 11. We came in peace for all mankind.”
10.5 cm tall.
Very good with no signs of internal use.
