Description
A striking 1970s or 1980s Waechtersbach good-sized teapot, from West Germany.
A hard to find design – vivid red glossy chunky ceramic or stoneware with white dots and a butterfly each side slightly indented/stencilled around the body. The pot has a subtle scalloped edge. The lid is glossy white.
Very good condition.
Externally great, displays very well with no chips or anything. Great for display.
The lid has some internal fine lines which don’t appear to be cracks.
Stamped to the base with the Waechtersbach West German logo.
Pot is 10.5cm tall x 14.5cm widest (11cm inner rim). 14.5cm tallest with lid on.
Large capacity – just over 2 pints.
Probably more suited for a collector.
