Description
A crackle/shrink glazed ‘fat lava’ era pottery pot/vase which I believe to be by Jasba Ceramics, West Germany – Cortina decor.
Glossy black glaze underneath with matte white crackle textured overlay.
Apx 1960s vintage, though the design/technique dates from 1955.
Stamped on base but it’s hard to read – model number 235/10.
The curvy pot-bellied vase is small at 10.5cm tall, 8.5cm widest.
Flared rim with gold leaf and glazed black inside.
Typical of the era.
No chips, very good condition.
Just the fading gold to the rim.
