Description
A vintage Whitefriars art glass ashtray, dating from the 1950s or so.
Mid century era British glass, with controlled bubbles.
Sea Green colourway.
Just like a 9099 bowl, but this has s slightly narrower flat rim and the addition of 4 cigarette resting slots.
I can’t find it in the catalogues.
4″ version.
Whitefriars polished pontil to the base.
4″ wide x 3.5cm tall. 1.5cm wide flat rim.
Good for age and era with some fine signs of age.
The bubbles are a bit clumsy and uncontrolled, so it may be an end of day or a Friday afternoon piece.
