Description

A super little glossy art pottery vase by David T Sharp at Rye Pottery, Rye, Sussex.

Handmade, thrown on a wheel, and hand decorated.
Typical of David’s palette – muted minty or duck egg green with darker greens and white.
The vase has a series of whiter abstract flowers around – probably drawn with wax, then painted over.
Not that typical of his work, I’m not sure he did many glossy hand painted vases.
Circa 1970s vintage.

Hand signed to the base.
Very good with crazing.
Some fine natural firing lines to the natural white clay base.
Base has a small insignificant shallow chip, see pics.
Clean inside and water tight, likely unused.

10cm tall x 7cm rim and 7.5cm max width.
