Description

A lovely little pin dish bowl by Jula…

Jula (Angela Govier) created these artworks in the late 1950s from above her family’s Govier shop in Sidmouth, Devon. She bought blanks from places like Poole Pottery and hand decorated them. They were fired on the premises and sold in the shop.

The dish is a shallow round bowl, white glazed base with a stylised art picture of a fish and some sgraffito curls.
Matt black with white incised patterns and black drawn picture.
Multi-use – these could be used for keys, coins, jewellery, pins, buttons, paperclips, etc – or perfect just for show.

The dish is 10.2 x 2.3cm – small.
Good vintage condition, no chips but some dirt.
