Description

A tiny round vintage ornamental bowl, by Rye Pottery, England.

The printed stamp to the back dates it to 1957-1959 and by John and Walter Cole.

Rye Pottery was John Cole and Walter Cole. Walter (Wally) was responsible for creating the ceramics and running the pottery while John made the designs and created the patterns and decorations.

Wheel thrown and glazed off-white, the tiny bowl or salts pot, has been hand painted with black hashed or criss-crossed lines over blue. White clay base.

Very good for display and for a collector rather than use.
May have handmade glazing quirks – see photos.

Tiny – 5.5cm widest, 2.8cm tall.
