A handmade small pottery mug, by Rye Pottery, Sussex.
This is a modern version of a mid century Stripe pattern, signed RW.
Wheel thrown and glazed white, the slightly tapered simple mug has blue wide hand-painted vertical stripes. It’s a whiter clay/stoneware. Stamped with ‘S’, the decorator’s initials.
Excellent condition, as manufactured/hand made.
