Description
A lovely Italian ceramic vase, from the mid century (1960s-1970s) era.
Handmade thrown pottery (smooth red clay) and hand signed ‘1292 made in Italy’.
It’s very much like Bitossi, Seta decor, as designed by Aldo Londi.
But I can’t find another like it for a positive ID.
So I’m selling it as a maybe.
Matt beige/brown and green horizontal stripes which have been hand incised into with vertical lines, sgraffito.
Inside is glossy glazed pea green.
Please see all photos for decor and condition.
It’s good, and ok for display.
It has two baseline chips, one noticeable.
Internally it has some signs of age with a hairline inside the neck – but it’s ‘rings’ ok.
25.5cm tall x 12.5cm x 10.5cm rim.
