A lovely portrait brooch mounted in sterling silver.
The portrait is based on The Red Boy (Charles William Lambton, 1818-31) painting by Sir Thomas Lawrence.
It looks to be a hand coloured slide, or similar.
Marked to the back with ‘Made in England, Sterling Silver, Rhodium plate’.
The sterling silver looks to be the frame/edging.
Decent sized oval kitsch brooch, 45 x 33mm.
A hook under fastening.
Circa 1930s.
