Description
A vintage solid wooden carving of a pineapple.
Carved and handmade from a single piece of teak, I believe (a reddy hardwood).
Natural red teak finish to the fruit, showing the wood grain.
The leaves have been stained more green.
Circa 1970s – Tiki, Hawaii, Boho style.
Please study photos for condition.
I’ve not refinished it, it’s natural and would probably benefit from an oil.
It looks like two areas were filled at the time.
Life sized, simplified, handmade, quite naively carved. And heavy.
It has a rounded base. No maker’s marks.
21cm tall. Pineapple 12.5 x 10cm.
Perfect for a retro bar!
