Description
A vintage Withernsea/Eastgate pottery vase, model number 272.
Probably late 1950s or early 1960s and designed by John Clappison, who went on to Hornsea.
Bamboo like pattern in a warm ochre brown within the recesses.
Hexagon and fan-like shape.
20.3cm tall.
Good vintage condition.
As you can see the baseline has some discolouration (looks like old glue) and some areas right on the baseline have very thin glaze. No chips. A couple of fine vertical lines to one side of the bamboo pattern, probably from production.
See pics too.
Good for a collection.
