Description

A pair of vintage art glass large bowls or candle holders, designed by Oiva Toikka for Nuutajarvi/Nuutajärven Lasi (Finland) in 1964, made later for iittala. These are 1970s to 1980s vintage versions.

The Kastehelmi design was: “inspired by morning dewdrops, Kastehelmi’s glass droplet design brings the outdoors in”.

Clear moulded pressed glass.
Textured underneath and on the outer curved up edges in distinctive concentric circles of bobbles, smooth and flat inside.

Could be used as snack bowls, dessert bowls, candle holders – versatile size.

Good condition.
The clearer one has three shallow areas of rim fleabites/shell chips – see photos showing rims.
They’re hard to see but you can feel them (nothing sharp).

The other bowl is great, it just looks like some smoke got into the handmaking process as it’s slightly off the clear.

Both 10.8cm wide x 5cm tall.
