A vintage Boda Afghan Hound, by Bertil Vallien from his Kennel (Dogs) Series of art glass flat-back paperweights.
Circa 1970s-1980s vintage.
Clear bright crystal-content glass, mouth blown into a mould – handmade.
Swedish (Boda later became Kosta Boda).
A good sized hound with detail to one side and a polished back.
14 x 15.5 x 4cm.
Very good with no chips.
The area behind his head has a moulding flaw – not enough glass filled the mould so it’s misshaped to the back.
