Description
A vintage handmade small bowl (or plant pot holder or large sugar bowl), by Dennis Edward Lucas, from Hastings Pottery. He worked at the pottery from 1956 to 1995, but this is likely to be 1960s or 1970s era. It has the distinctive incised double fish logo to the reverse for Hastings Pottery which was used from 1963 to 1995. Deep red clay base, with glossy glazes to the uppers.
Wheel thrown rounded shape, it could be used as a small planter for succulents/cacti or as a bowl. Predominantly duck egg green with black and white glazes. The alternating stripes are leaf and flower stem like. Typical colours for vintage Hastings Pottery.
Very good condition. If you look at the last photo of the base it has a slither of missing clay.
7cm tall x 11cm wide max. Internal rim is 9.2cm wide.
Perfect for display, use and for a collection.
