Description
A super art glass vase, designed by Folke Walving for Maleras (Sweden).
The design is 1970s or so, so of this later mid century period.
Clear bright crystal content glass, handmade, mouth blown and unique.
It’s from the Nebula range – and this is a particularly exaggerated version with lots of twisted raw spun glass all around it.
It’s hand signed to the flat polished base ‘Maleras FW Sweden’.
It’s clear and bright heavy crystal glass with a soft wide rim.
20cm tall x 10cm widest x 8.5cm rim.
Very good for the age and era.
The outer surface is deliberately rough and raw so has sharp edges and blobs and shards and irregular molten glass etc.
I can’t see any chips or cracks but its very hard to see with this design.
Weighs a chunky 1.4kg… a heavy decorative and signed vase.
