Description
A vintage Murano art glass bowl/ashtray/dish.
Circa 1960s.
By Barrovier and Toso and quite typical of their complex work with gold leaf/aventurine in red glass.
The gold follows the rows of neat controlled bubbles – colouring the bubbles gold on the outer shell.
The red dish has a scalloped rim with shell-like curls – one up and one down.
It’s all cased in clear.
Flat polished base is very good for the age/era. See pics.
Excellent condition. Some ripples/lines in the outer shell from manufacture.

Would have been a very fancy ashtray back in the day – has some black ash caught in the inner folds inside.
11.5 x 10 x 4cm (5cm to top of curl). 300g.
Perfect for display and for a collection!
