Description
A mid 1960s modernist Whitefriars Glass art glass vase, #9572.
Slightly slimmer than the Hambone vase no 9656.
This design in this colour dates from the mid 1960s (1966-1967).
It has distinctive wide solid bottom, oval rim and flatter sides.
Cased blue – a royal rich blue with clear glass.
Flat polished rim and base, with flared wide bottom, narrower sideways on.

5.5″ tall, 14cm tall x 8.5cm wide x 3.5cm deep – the hambones are about 11cm wide.
Very good condition with great rim and base – a lovely displayable example.

It doesn’t look to have been used or moved around.
Nicely made.
It has a natural internal stretched bubble to one side and a small bunch of white inclusions to the other.
They don’t really show on the photos.
